‘The Late Late Show’ Will Broadcast The First Exit Poll Result From Tomorrow’s Referendum

Unless you’ve been on the planet Jupiter with your fingers in your ears and your phone battery is dead, you’ll know that there’s quite an important referendum taking place in Ireland tomorrow.

There’s a palpable sense of nervous tension around the country today as Yes and No campaigners make their last pleas before Friday’s vote and a lot of people are wondering when exactly we’ll find out if Ireland has elected to repeal the Eighth Amendment of the Constitution. 

It has now been revealed that the first exit poll result (a sample survey of thousands of people who already voted) will be broadcast on The Late Late Show on RTÉ One tomorrow night. 

Presenter Ryan Tubridy revealed the news on his radio show this morning and it’s sure to have a lot of people tuning in to see where we’re at before the official result is announced some time on Saturday. 

Polling stations will be open on Friday from 7am until 10pm.
