I’m an absolute sucker when it comes to palettes. I have a basket in my room where I keep them all and it’s currently over-flowing, no joke.
Palettes are great because they have lots of options, they’re easy to transport and there’s usually a mirror to make sure you’re looking A1. It can be hard however, to know which ones are worth spending a bit of cash/money/dollar bills on.
Here are some holy-grail products that my life would be incomplete without:
1. Shade Light – Kat Von D
If there was ever an eyeshadow palette that I can safely say I’ve used to death, it’s this one. The best part is I’ve hit pan on almost every colour.
So many palettes out there have these crazy colours that I’d only use once in a blue moon but with Shade Light I’ve used every one. The colours are all matte, are super pigmented and just a dream to blend.
I also have the Shade Light contour kit and I love that just as much. Kat Von D is killing it in the makeup world.
2. Cityglam – Madison
I got this palette about two weeks ago and I haven’t put it down since. It has every kind of highlight you could ever dream of and a tone for every mood.
The bronzer is exactly my colour and it’s so easy to blend.
Madison is an Irish brand and I’m totally obsessed, I have all of their palettes and each one has impressed me even more than the last.
3. Galaxy – Fenty
When you think of Fenty, eyeshadow probably isn’t the first product to spring to mind.
Rihanna has created a killer brand to suit all skin types and it’s bloody class. I picked up the Galaxy palette on a whim and it soon became my go-to palette for night-out eyes. It’s super sparkly, full of colour and the pigment is like no other.
Flawless.
4. Concealer Spectrum – Zoeva
Every gal (or guy) needs a good concealer.
You can get rid of those bags under your eyes and sculpt that jaw line with just a few strokes of a brush – Magic.
This gorge kit is super affordable at only €23, but it’s seriously good.
5. Naked – Urban Decay
Ah sure I couldn’t write this list and not include this one. This was one of the first palettes I’ve ever owned and I’m sure lots of you are the same.
It’s a classic.
6. Pro Lip Palette / Modern Browns – Mac
Six perfect shades of nude. This palette includes the shades Peachstock, Half N Half, Fresh Brew, Taupe, Paramount and Frenzy.
You can even blend them together to make your own shade – Dream come true.
7. KKW X Mario – KKW Beauty
I wont lie, I’m not the best at keeping up with the Kardashians. My bestie is however, and when she got her hands on this palette she brought it over to my gaff especially to show it to me and it is undeniably fab.
The colours are spot on and so creamy, I can’t cope.
