These Were The Top Five Warmest Places In Ireland Today

Darragh Berry

It’ll be no surprise to tell you that today, April 19th 2018 has been the warmest day of the year so far.

We don’t need to tell you that, you’ve probably spent the day looking out the window planning all the fun things you’re going to do once you get out.

And if you’ve had the day off… we don’t even want to talk to you right now.

Lovin‘s favourite weather forecaster (sorry everyone else), Barra Best has been hard at work figuring out who was exposed to the most heat in the country.

And if you happened to be in the Giants Causeway or Phoenix Park today at any stage, you’re either a nice brown colour or burnt to a crisp.

The whole of Dublin on average stayed at 18 degrees today, making it the warmest county in Ireland.

Here are the top 5:

  1. Giants Causeway 20.4C
  2. Phoenix Park, Dublin 19C
  3. Katesbridge, Down 18.4C
  4. Magilligan, Derry 18.4C
  5. Aldergrove, Antrim 18.3

We really hope tomorrow brings us much of the same and according to Met Éireann, “Friday will be another largely dry day with sunny spells for many places, after early mist and fog clears.

Cloudy periods will occur also though, and there is the chance of light shower or two in parts of Connacht and Ulster.

Top temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees, with the highest values expected in the east. Winds will be light and variable.”

More sun, we say.
