Gearing up to make his grand return to the stage, Irish singer-songwriter Van Morrison has announced plans to play three live gigs up in his hometown of Belfast next month. Running over the course of three nights, each performance will be preceded by a drinks reception along with a two-course supper that aims to highlight the best of local produce.

Due to take place at the Europa Hotel, tickets will be sold in pairs or by tables of eight and can be gotten through Ticketmaster. Audience numbers will be limited to 184 in compliance with social distancing legislation in Northern Ireland.

The gig announcement comes days after the legendary performer celebrated his 75th birthday. A host of well-known Irish faces came together to help him mark the milestone occasion including artists such as Hozier, Sinéad O’Connor, Gary Lightbody, Damien Rice and Imelda May.
