Berlin is a city that never sleeps.
Literally, they have clubs that are open for 24-hours.
It’s a class city to pop over to for a weekend of fun with your mates or other half. Along with the many incredible sights and activities, the city is up there as one of the best around for bars and clubs.
If you’re not feeling like dancing until 9am in Berghain, there’s some really cool, chill cocktail bars that are guaranteed to make your cocktail dreams come true.
I popped over to Berlin for the World Class Finals this week and hung out with the best bartenders in the world. Here are the five best bars around, according to the experts:
1. Limonadier
Artisan cocktail craft and innovative flavours.
Limonadier is a truly a fabulous spot, very unique from the usual hustle and bustle of the city.
A hip yet dapper venue and a great atmosphere.
2. Green Door
A cosy, intimate venue but deffo one worth checking out.
The retro interior includes checkered wallpaper, odd ornaments and a dog lamp on the bar – all very 70s chic.
For such a tiny place, they’ve got a big menu full of exotic pairings.
3. Buck & Breck
Similar to VCC in Dublin City, this discrete speakeasy is only accessible by ringing a teeny tiny doorbell.
The bar provides for one of the most unique cocktail experiences in the city and serves up some very intriguing drinks.
Such a slick venue and delish drinks – my personal fave.
4. Monkey Bar
This bar has a stunning panoramic view of Berlin city from its sundowner terrace, a hot spot after dusk drinks.
An international choice of drinks and fine wine as well as bar snacks from the NENI kitchen are served. Regular DJ lines and live music events.
A GORJ spot for date night – super romantic.
5. Stagger Lee
Stepping into this bar feels like going back in time.
It’s all dimly lit by long waxy candles, there’s quirky photos hung all over the walls and because it’s permitted to smoke in most bars in Berlin, there’s a smoky mist above the tables.
Vintage vibes.
Try the London Buck cocktail – it’s a winner.
Cheers to that!
