Going into the details over on Instagram, organisers have updated the public on what to expect at this year's Cork Christmas Market.
Christmas and markets go hand in hand but with current public health restrictions posing a threat to their viability, many places have decided to forgo the annual tradition this year. Not the Marina Market down in Cork though, who has confirmed that their festive display will go ahead as planned this December.
Announcing that it's all systems go for this year's Cork Christmas Market, a message shared on social media reads:
"We are delighted to announce that the Marina Market will be opening this year with a Christmas Market opening this December 3rd, running 7 days a week until December 24th!
"There will be something for everyone at this market with various food, craft and lifestyle traders and ‘Yule’ be delighted to hear it will be free admission!
"We have been working very hard behind the scenes over the past weeks to ensure that ‘Christmas at the Marina Market’ can be run safely. Our huge indoor space of 82,000sq.ft. will allow for correct Covid social distancing measures to be in place for both traders and the public in line with Government and HSE guidelines."
Great news altogether and the ideal spot to pick up some wares by local traders.
