With much of the country heading to the Rebel County on their holliers this year, this is sure to be of interest.

Serving up 100 per cent plant-based vegan street food, VeganKo is a ko-to (hehe… at least I laugh at my own jokes, eh?) for foodies in search of a tasty veggie/vegan feed. Run by Nino Juzjak and Martina Ratkovic, they’ve just opened at a new city centre location – moving from their old haunt at Drew’s petrol station to number 18 Kyle Street, just off North Main Street.

Kitting the place out with some of their signature swag, they’re still serving up the same delicious grub they’ve come to be known for. Including, but not limited to, burgers, doner kebabs, hot dogs, cookies and fries. According to them, their menu is all locally produced and with a traditional taste but an entirely different approach. Who said plant-based had to be boring?!

Here’s a look at some of their aforementioned specialities.

It’s a good thing I’ve already eaten because seeing all that vegan street food goodness that pre-lunch probably would have had me booking a train straight to Cork.

Open Tuesday to Sunday, 12noon to 10pm.
