An Aer Lingus flight from Naples to Dublin was forced to turn back, mid-flight, after it hit a flock of pigeons.
The plane had just left Naples, when pigeons flew into one of the engines. The flight EI451 left Naples at midday and was expected in Dublin at 3pm before the incident took place.
Andrea, checks will need to be carried out on this aircraft. Updates will be available as soon as possible.

Passengers must now wait, as the flight has since been diverted, and is expected to arrive in Dublin at around 23:15.
