You've been working hard all week and after a few drinks the night before all you want now is an epic brunch to clear the cob webs away. London does brunch as well as any other city. With so much to choose from you can be thankful that we have picked out the top 10 dishes in the capital for you to enjoy this weekend. Just don't eat them all at once!
They serve great breakfast in here all week but the brunch is where it is really at starting at 10am on Saturdays and Sundays. Classic dishes cooked to perfection with a French / New York feel to them. Great central location in Covent Garden too.
9th. Hawksmoor Guildhall
You'll probably think of steak when you think of any of their branches but they also do one of the best and most filling brunches in town. Huge portions, awesome service and the sort of seats you can sink into and forgot about the worries of the day.
8th. Greenberry cafe
In the heart of trendy Primrose Hill this is the spot where you want to try and snag an outside table coming into the summer months. Huge range of awesome light brunch dishes and the Turkish eggs are to die for.
7th. Ben's Canteen
Open all day and have a special focus on brunches. Their bloody Mary is an absolute must as is their fried chicken if they happen to have it on special.
You come here for one dish and one dish only and that is the broken eggs with fried potatoes and salt beef. It is so refreshing in a brunch market where you repeatedly see the same dishes to see this sort of innovative cooking. Best eggs in London we'll go as far as saying!
5th. No 11 Pimlico Road
The perfect place to laze around at the weekend with a lovely chilled laid back vibe, Their brunch features lots of classics but with unique, simple and interesting twists. Great cocktails too.
One of the most beautifully stylish and relaxed cafes (well once you get a seat). What we love most about it is the balance in the menu with huge meaty dishes for those who are starving but smaller healthy dainty dishes for the healthy minded.
3rd. Duck & Waffle
Sounds like the weirdest combination going but once you taste the signature dish there will be no going back. They do loads of other great brunch items too and the view is something else. Quite the brunch experience indeed.
2nd. The Wolseley
So we'll ignore the fact that it won't be cheap but brunch is the one meal of the week you can splash out on. They actually serve a great breakfast all week long and you'll want to book at the weekends. Amazing people watching, world class service and the brunch dishes are cooked to absolute perfection. Not one you'll be eating every week but well worth it for a treat.
Although they are best known for their epic "breakfast burger" and we'd certainly suggest you try it what we love best are the innovative dishes and bloody Mary's that we'd say are the very best in town. Brunch will not get much better than this. Perfect spot to rock up to in order to sort that horrible hangover.
