5 Gorgeous Places To Enjoy Afternoon Tea In Cork This Winter

There’s nothing better than being indoors with a lovely cup of tea and loads of food, which is why the concept of afternoon tea was made for winter days like this.

Add to this the fact that Cork might just be one of the most festively decorated places in the country, and we can’t think of a better way to spend an afternoon catching up with friends and family over the Christmas break.

Electric

It doesn’t get much better than sitting back in the slick surroundings of Electric, overlooking the River Lee.

Cost: €24 with tea or coffee and €30 if you’d prefer to go with a G&T.

The Metropole

Their newly refurbished Tea Room is just gorgeous, and they’ve got an impressively extensive Afternoon Tea menu to go with it.

Cost: €25, add a glass of Prosecco for €30.

Hayfield Manor

If you’re looking to go all-out and really treat yourself, this luxury 5-star hotel is the place to do it. All the pastries and cakes are freshly prepared in their Patisserie and the Orchids Restaurant where it’s held is just stunning.

Cost: €38, add Prosecco for €48 or champagne for €53.

Montenotte Hotel

It’s just 10 minutes outside of the city centre and has a gorgeous view from the newly refurbished bistro and Panorama terrace. This one is always a popular option, so you’ll have to book at least 24 hours in advance.

Cost: €32, add Prosecco for €38 or champagne for €45.

The River Lee

Another gorgeous spot overlooking the river, you’ll fall in love with the slick interiors here. Afternoon Tea served from 2.30pm – 4.30pm all week, with a particularly pretty selection of desserts such as macarons and éclairs.

Cost: €30, add Prosecco for €40 or champagne for €48.
