Christy Moore to headline live music festival in West Cork this month

The programme for the upcoming Masters of Tradition festival has just been announced – featuring big names such as Donovan, Christy Moore, Steve Cooney and Cormac Begley amongst others.

Live music will make a welcome return to West Cork later this month for the Masters of Tradition Festival. Set for August 17th to August 23rd festivities will take place in Bantry.

This year’s masters include a range of big names including the likes of Donovan, Steve Cooney, Ye Vagabonds, Caitlín Nic Gabhann and Cormac Begley. Along with household favourite Christy Moore.

With indoor gatherings currently restricted to a maximum of 50 people, there will be limited tickets available for each of the three live concerts in the Maritime Hotel. Strict health and safety regulations will be in place and all ticket-holders will receive detailed guidance on the latest procedures. Each concert will also be filmed and made available for streaming.

This year’s programme will also see musicians revive the secret concert series which will see them create a series of films in favourite locations such as Bantry House, Whiddy and Garnish Islands, and Future Forests that will be streamed during the Festival.
