Gardaí Held A Very Convincing Attack Simulation At A Cork Nightclub This Morning

Gardaí in Cork city staged a major critical incident response training exercise this morning.

The simulation took place at Rearden's on Washington Street after a request from  businesses in the area involved in nightlife. It was designed to test response times of Gardaí, armed response units and ambulance crew.

The aim was to simulate a multiple knife attack and hostage situation inside a packed nightclub.
