Man In His 70s Dies In Early Morning House Fire

A man in his 70s was pronounced dead at the scene of a house fire in the early hours of this morning. 

According to the Journal.ie, the man was killed in the fire at his home in Kelleher’s Buildings, Dillon’s Cross in Mayfield, Co. Cork at roughly 4:30AM. 

No other injuries have been reported. 

Members of both Anglesea Street and Ballyvolane fire departments attended the scene and battled the blaze until 7 this morning. 

Gardaí are not treating the fire as suspicious at this time.
