A man in his 30s was seriously injured in a car crash yesterday afternoon in Limerick.

The Irish Times reports that the man, who was a passenger in the car, was ejected out the rear car window when the car crashed.

It’s believed that there were four men travelling in the car at the time, although when Gardaí arrived on the scene, the other three men were not present.

The injured man was found lying on the road.

The man has sustained serious head injuries and was taken to University Hospital Limerick for treatment.

It’s thought the other three men in the car fled the scene.

The crash occurred yesterday afternoon around 2 pm, on the R516 road.
