An Garda Síochána Are Currently Investigating Allegations Of A Child For Sale In Limerick

Gardaí are currently investigating serious allegations of a toddler being offered for sale in Limerick.

The incident allegedly happened at around 5:10pm, February 15, 2017 just outside of a commercial building, located on the south side of Limerick city.

The person believed to have been attempting to sell the child was a woman.

A spokesperson for the Garda Press Office confirmed to Breaking News that Gardaí have begun an investigation into the claims.

“Gardaí at Roxboro Road are presently conducting enquiries into the circumstances of the reporting of the incident and possible child welfare issues.”

Gardaí were contacted by members of the public who claimed a woman had been trying to sell or give away the child.

The toddler at the centre of the allegation is male.
