A Man Has Been Airlifted To Hospital With Serious Injuries After A Farm Accident This Evening

A man has been seriously injured after a farm accident in Co. Clare this evening. 

According to the Irish Independent, the incident occurred in the village of Fanore at around 7pm. It’s thought that a hay bale rolled over the man. 

The Doolin unit of the Irish Coast Guard assisted the National Ambulance Service at the scene. 

The man was airlifted to Shannon Airport before being transferred to University Hospital Limerick by road. He is thought to have sustained crush injuries in the incident.
