We live in an era where we spend way too much time on our phones, scrolling mindlessly through Instagram and beating ourselves up because ours lives don’t look as fun as others on social media.
With this, not only are there a range of mental health issues but also, we waste a massive amount of time gazing into our phone and not enjoying what our beautiful country has to offer.
There is definitely a movement in place where people are getting out walking, running and hiking to connect with nature again and I for one, am all for it.
Is there any better feeling than an hour or two hike in the middle of nowhere, getting lost and chatting with your mate? And how refreshed you feel afterwards?
Not only is it good physical exercise but it also helps clear the mind and makes you realise what’s really important in this anxious world.
We all know Wicklow is one of the most scenic counties in Ireland but how much of it have you actually explored?
I have put together some of the best trails and hikes to go out and explore over the next couple of months.
They all vary in length so just click on the links to find out more.
