Galway pub to host Phil Lynott remembrance gig tomorrow night

Sarah Finnan

Fun fact for yiz – I was named after a Thin Lizzy song.

No prizes for guessing which one…Sarah, in case that wasn’t extremely clear.

Monroe’s, one of Galway’s best late-night venues, is gearing up for their annual remembrance gig in honour of Phil Lynott.

Marking the 34th anniversary of the passing of the Thin Lizzy frontman, attendees can expect the usual mix of Lizzy rock classics with some of Lynott’s solo bangers thrown in for good measure too.

Music to come from band Remembering Lizzy, who will take to the stage to perform all the beloved hits – the likes of Whiskey in the Jar, The Boys Are Back in Town and Dancing in the Moonlight. Absolute TUNES.

Tickets for the Phil Lynott remembrance gig cost a tenner online (€11.25 including booking fees), or €12 on the door.
