A magical castle in Galway has been revealed as Airbnb’s most-visited property on Europe and it’s easy to see why.
Cahercastle in Craughwell, Galway has been around since the 1400s and you’ll feel like you’re stepping back in time when you arrive at this medieval fairytale castle.
It is comprised of a master bedroom upstairs, with access to a turret, a living room, dining room, two guest bedrooms, and some storage rooms.
There’s also a huge fireplace to curl up in front of in the evenings, and it’s only a 25-minute drive from Galway City if you feel like exploring the area.
Cahercastle is technically the second most-booked property (a room in Bruges was named number one) but more people have actually stayed there over the years, meaning it was still the most popular property.
Owners Peter and Eva are always on hand to help out and have even been named Airbnb Super Hosts thanks to their glowing reviews from guests.
It costs around €150 a night so it’s perfect for a special occasion – you can take a look at the Airbnb listing here.
The booking website revealed their four most popular properties to mark a massive milestone – that now, six guests check into one of their listings every single second.
The other most-booked Airbnbs in Europe were a private room in Bruges, Belgium, a charming room in Paris, France, and a room in the heart of Venice, Italy.
