PSA – A Galway Restaurant Has Created A Buckfast Milkshake

Ireland’s grá for Buckfast is the greatest love story since Shakespeare’s Romeo And Juliet and it’s now gotten a new chapter which the Bard himself couldn’t have made up.

SALT restaurant and bar in Salthill, Co. Galway has come up with a new Buckfast milkshake which, appropriately, is maroon and white in honour of the City Of The Tribes.

The introduction of the delicious treat comes ahead of the Leinster Hurling Senior Final Replay which will see Galway take on Kilkenny for the right to go through to this year’s All-Ireland semi-final.

The Buckfast Delight is made up of SALT’s homemade mixed berry jam and, you’ve guessed it, Buckfast, making it the perfect way to cool down with temperatures set to soar again this weekend.
