Mosque At Centre Of Horrific Attack To Hold Open Day This Weekend

James Fenton

The Maryam Mosque in Galway which endured a horrific attack earlier this week is to hold an open day this Saturday.

According to Galway Bay FM, the move is seen as an opportunity to welcome non-Muslims to gain a better understanding of the Islam religion and culture.

The Mosque has received an outpouring of support since the unprovoked attack during prayer hour on Monday. People were left terrified as rocks were thrown through the window.

The open day takes place this Saturday from 3 to 6pm at the Mosque on Old Monivea Road in Ballybrit.
