Festival heads, rejoice!
A brand new music and comedy festival is coming to Laois this summer.
The Folly will take place on the 20th and 21st July in the majestic ruins of Cullahill Castle. The lineup will feature a balance of male and female musicians, comedians and performers including some of the best and up and coming talent in the country.
Ticket-holders will be treated to Nomadic folk duo, The Lost Brothers, and Curtis Walsh on Friday night along with Holly Macve and alt-pop singer, Molly Sterling.
On Saturday, some of Ireland’s up and coming comedic gems as well established acts will take to the stage including, Kevin McGahern, Ashlee Bentley, Mark McConnell, Niamh Marron, Eddie Mullarkey, Grace Mulvey, Ronan Grace and Sharon Mannion.
There will be plenty of food stalls on offer as well plenty of daytime activity with the Cullahill Annual Fair, a walk up the Cullahill mountain, a farmer’s market, storytelling, a tour of the hidden history of Cullahill Castle and the first ever PaddyO’s Irish Porridge Making Championship, with Rachel Allen on hand to judge.
The tickets are a steal at €40 for both nights or €25 per day plus booking fee and are available now.
We have a feeling this will be going on our festival bucket list next year.
