We have made it our life’s mission to find the best brunch on our fair isle.
And every now and then we find The One – brunch perfection.
This past weekend we found exactly that – out wesht, in Galway.
If you’ve never visited Dela, I’m afraid to tell you, you haven’t lived.
Need proof? Check out this insane queue:
The queue starts at around 11.30am and can be seen stretching the block on weekends until about 3pm.
These folks aren’t f*cking about – they know what dreams can be made within.
When I was there at the weekend it was lashing rain, but that didn’t stop the hungry peeps queueing outside. Nope, they remained through downpour after downpour and had the biggest smiles on their faces as they entered the joint.
The best part about Dela, besides its food and vibes?
Their ethos and attitude towards food and where it comes from.
“Season permitting we grow as much of our own produce as possible on our ever expanding farm located in Moycullen on the proposed Galway-Clifden Greenway. At peak growing season our greens and eggs have a ‘plot to plate’ time of minutes.”

Dela’s brunch offerings will most likely put you into a severe state of shock – so take a seat before gazing at these porny pics:
Food porn at its finest.

And if you didn’t order a mimosa with your brunch, did you even Dela?
Brunch is served from 10am ’til 4pm on the weekend.
But Dela is also open for dinner Tuesday to Saturday from 6pm, and the offerings are just as good.
You can find Dela at 51 Lower Dominick Street, Galway.
