Skelligs Chocolate Factory down in Co. Kerry will reopen to the public later this month.
Ireland’s only fully open-plan chocolate factory, Skelligs Chocolate Factory is located down in The Kingdom – amidst the picturesque surrounds of the Ring of Kerry. Announcing that they’ll reopen to the public later this month, the team revealed that they’ll be back in business from Monday, July 13th.
Saying that preparations to reopen are now well underway, the factory will be introducing several new cleaning and social distancing measures to ensure visits can go ahead.
Amongst the new measures being implemented are the following:
- Increased cleaning frequency of high touchpoints
- Extensive staff training on cleaning, hygiene and social distancing
- Introduction of new protective screens at sampling counters and checkout
- Hand sanitiser stations for customer and staff use at key points within the building
Visitor numbers will also be capped and a total of only 30 people will be allowed in the factory at any one time with that number dropping again to 12 for the onsite coffee shop.
