A Man Was Stabbed On The Street In Portlaoise This Morning

A man has been arrested after a stabbing took place in Potlaoise at around 11am today. 

The incident occurred on Church Street in the town. Both the suspect and the victim are males in their late 20s. 

The victim received non life-threatening injuries in the stabbing and was brought to Midlands Regional Hospital. 

The suspect is being held at Portlaoise Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
