Europe’s Biggest Clean-Up Is Taking Place In Limerick Today

James Fenton

There’s nothing like a bit of spring cleaning and if you can do so with 16,000 others then all the better.

That’s exactly what’s taking place in Limerick this Good Friday morning as Europe’s largest clean-up gets underway.

It’s estimated that by the end of the third annual Team Limerick clean-up, approximately 50,000 bags will have been used in making the city spotless.

Launched earlier on by rugby legend Paul O’Connell and businessman JP McManus, the clean-up will involve volunteers from schools, local businesses as well as sporting and community groups.

Sure if you’re doing nothing else in the city today, why not go down and lend a hand?
