James Fenton

When visiting Limerick, you’re never short on things to see and do but when it’s raining, you’re options are a bit limited.

That doesn’t mean that you should be confined to your gaff as there’s plenty of fun to be found indoors in the city on the Shannon.

Put on the raincoat and make the most of the grand soft days with any of these options.

Frank McCourt Museum

Take a trip back in time to the Limerick of the renowned writer’s youth, as depicted in Angela’s Ashes.

There are murals and memorabilia aplenty and even some of McCourt’s ashes which were donated by his family after his death in 2009.
