WATCH: The Liam McCarthy Cup Is Officially On Its Way Home To Limerick

The heads are sore, the voices are gone and Dreams by The Cranberries is being played on loop.

That doesn't mean that the party is in any way nearly over in Limerick after their epic All-Ireland Hurling Final win over Galway yesterday. In fact, the Liam McCarthy Cup has only just left Dublin ahead of a homecoming in the Treaty City later on.

What makes it even better is that a Limerick man has been given the responsibility of ensuring the safe arrival of John Kiely's men and their trophy...

The train took off at about 3.30pm and Liam is expected to arrive at Limerick's Gaelic Grounds around 7pm...

It should be one hell of a party. One more spin of Dolores for the craic...
