Meath Centra vows to help anyone in need in touching message

Centra Carlanstown has vowed to help anyone who may be struggling in a touching message on their Facebook page.

The Meath store took to social media yesterday to announce that they were willing to help anyone who may be in a difficult position. They wrote:

“We are now almost 8 months into this pandemic and the country is in recession.  If anyone is not working, not getting paid, has had their hours cut and runs out of food or necessities please don’t let you or your kids go to sleep on an empty stomach.

“Don’t be afraid or embarrassed to send me a private message.  We will do anything we can to help. It may simply be a case of dropping off a food parcel and leaving.  No one has to know and where others are concerned, it never happened.”

Appreciating the kind gesture, people took to the comments to show their support. One Facebook user wrote:

“Absolutely amazing… You guys should not be out of pocket either, so if you see a need, please put out a link for donations from those of us blessed to be still in full employment, as I know I and many others would be very happy to donate.”

Another wrote, “Such a wonderful gesture, I really hope someone in need takes up this wonderful offer, food poverty in Ireland is very real and doesn’t look to get any better anytime soon.”

After another lockdown announcement, this is just the kind of touching news we need right now.
