The M3 northbound just after J6 Dunshaughlin in Meath is closed this morning after a multi-vehicle collision took place involving stray cattle.

Emergency services arrived quickly on the scene to clear the vehicles from the road and round up the loose animals.

While initially both lanes had been closed because of the incident, the southbound lane has just reopened, according to AA Roadwatch.

No injuries have yet been reported.
