One Of Ireland’s Most Stunning Locations Is Getting A Brand New Greenway

Plans are in place for a brand new 10km stretch of greenway linking Omeath to Newry via Carlingford. 

According to the Dundalk Democrat, Chairman of Louth County Council, Cllr Paul Bell will announce the plans at a special event in Omeath tomorrow. 

The new stretch will cost €3.46 million and is a collaboration of Newry, Mourne and Down District Council and East Border Region Ltd.

Already, greenways in the counties of Mayo and Waterford are massive tourist attractions with the latter opening earlier this year
