The Army Bomb Disposal Unit was called to deal with a suspect device discovered in Co Kildare today.
Gardai in Monasterevin notified the unit about the device’s discovery and the explosive experts arrived at the scene around 1.20pm, according to Independent.ie.
Several houses in the vicinity had to be evacuated while an examination of the device was taking place. The scene was declared safe at 2.25pm.
