Ever wanted to walk on water?
Well, now you can, for 600m between Drumshambo and Carrick-on-Shannon at Acres Lake in Co. Leitrim which launched yesterday.
The boardwalk is the final leg of the Shannon Blueway network where people can explore beautiful routes from the water – canoeing, kayaking or paddle-boarding under bridges, along riverbanks or through sunlit tree arches. The choice is yours.
Walkers and cyclists can enjoy similar routes on land, and now on floating boardwalks on Acres Lake.
