Changes announced earlier this year in the parish of Kerry came into effect at the weekend.
This makes Kerry the second diocese in Ireland to introduce a Sunday funeral ban, Dublin being the first.
Back in May, Bishop Ray Browne announced that no funerals would take place in the 53 parishes in the diocese of Kerry on Sundays.
According to the Irish Examiner, Browne said that the change was necessary due to the lack of priests available in the area.
