The Irish Coast Guard has released a statement after three people were rescued from the River Boyne in Co. Meath last night.
Drogheda Coast Guard responded to a call at around 9.30pm on Monday. Upon arrival, they found three people clinging to an upturned boat.
In a statement, the Drogheda Coast Guard said:
If you see someone in trouble on or near the water dial 112/999 and ask for the Coast Guard.
