When Ed Sheeran announced he was releasing a track called ‘Galway Girl’, many assumed it was going to be a cover of the song written by Steve Earle and made famous by Mundy and Sharon Shannon.
It’s since been revealed that the only thing the two songs share is their title and they are actually two completely different numbers.
That hasn’t stopped musician John Gaughan having a bash at mashing the two together for a version which was recently shared online by popular Galway pub An Pucan. Check it out below:
