Dubbed in their Instagram comments as the “best pizza in Ireland”, Nanny Hughes will no doubt be missed when it closes its doors.

The Crossmaglen pizzeria took to Instagram over the weekend to announce its temporary closure, following ‘ongoing issues’ with their current location.

Their last day trading at their current premises will be two weeks from now, on the 3rd of April.

In the post on Instagram, the Nanny Hughes team wrote:

Due to some ongoing issues with our current location, we have decided not to continue with the tenancy. We are in the process of locating more suitable premises and hope to be able to announce our new location soon.

They added that they were “deeply sorry” to the customers they’ve built up a relationship with over the past few years, but insisted that “the closure will NOT be permanent”.

Fingers crossed they’ll be back up and running soon, as a quick creep of their Insta feed has us ready to boot it up the M1 like a bat out of hell to sample one of their wood-fired pies – even with the current price of petrol.

That crust. A thing of beauty, truly.

We look forward to seeing where they pop up next!
