Gardaí in Bray have released new information on today’s discovery of human remains in the ongoing Wicklow Mountains investigation.
Further remains, including a female’s head and hands, were found by Gardaí in a bag 3km north of Glenmacnass waterfall at approximately 1pm this afternoon following the initial discovery of a human torso near Old Military Road on Saturday night.
Superintendent Pat Ward has this evening stated that the remains found are of an adult, Caucasian female, not of a male as previously believed.

“What we have found today are limbs. We’ve also found some significant parts of the torso and we’ve also found in one of the locations, in a bag, the head and the hands of the deceased.”

Gardaí are satisfied that all remains belong to one victim.
Over 200 Gardaí, members of defence forces and civil defence personnel have so far been involved in the search.
Gardaí continue to appeal to anyone with any information to contact Bray Garda Station on (01) 666 5300 .
