Six Stunning Hotels In Ireland To Visit For A Romantic Couples Getaway

Éadaoin Fitzmaurice

There is literally nothing better than a romantic getaway. You get to spend some quality time with your favourite person and take a step away from the stresses in life. There’s just something about putting on that robe and slippers that has been left out for you and lying on a huge bed whilst sipping on a cup of tea – the dream.

Recently I’ve found a new appreciation for fancy hotel breaks in Ireland. You don’t have to deal with the hassle of airport customs, you can just pack up the car and go, plus the commute will never take too long. To top it all off, Ireland has some unbelievably charming hotels that you need to tick off your bucket list.

1. Solis Lough Eske

This stunning, old castle is situated by the shores of Lough Eske and the Blue Stack Mountains. These scenic views are like nothing else.

With plush, lavish beds, you’ll never want to leave this place.

2. Galgorm

Galgorm will have you in awe from the moment you walk through the front door. The hotel, located in Antrim and about 45 minutes from Belfast, is the epitome of what a romantic getaway should be.

It’s located by a tranquil river that you can relax by in a wood-heated hot tub whilst sipping on some bubbly. The spa village is like nothing you have seen before, it’s an oasis of relaxation and the perfect way to unwind.

You’re lovey-dovey nature will be at an all time high here.

3. Cahernane House

Picture yourself lying on a vintage, king-sized bed in your white robe, looking out at the Kerry mountains.

Cahernane House is a tranquil manor in Killarney that will blow you away. If you’re looking to retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life and hear nothing other than a few cows in the field below, this is where you need to be.

To top it all off, the Herbert Restaurant, located on the ground floor of this manor house, offers a decedent dining experience. A top-class meal with a glass of wine on hand – The dream for any couples getaway.

The hotel is situated right in the heart of Kilkenny so it’s the ideal spot to go if you’re looking to soak up some Irish culture. The small but mighty town has a lot to offer, from booming bars to quirky little gift shops.

The rooms of the hotel overlook the stunning gardens and castle of Kilkenny, you’ll feel like royalty while you sit by your bay window peering out to watch the world go by.
