A Mexican restaurant to be found up in Donegal, La Fiesta is a popular choice with locals. Run by brothers Martin and Felipe Hernandez, they’ve vowed to look out for those who most need it – saying they will do what they can to help.

Donegal restaurant La Fiesta is following the lead of several other businesses around the country, acknowledging that times are tough and promising to do their best to provide for struggling members of the local community.

Sharing a heartwarming message on social media, it reads:

“As we enter Level 5 we are now 8 months into this pandemic and the country has been put into recession.

If anyone is not working, not getting paid, has had their hours cut and runs out of food or times are just too tough, please don’t let you or your kids go to sleep on an empty stomach.

Don’t be afraid or embarrassed to send us a private message. We will do what we can to help. It may simply be a case of dropping off a meal to your door. Just know that we are here if you need us.”

Similar messages have been shared by other Irish businesses in recent days with owners at both Centra Carlanstown in Meath and Fitzsimons Family Fishmongers in Dublin also vowing to do the same.

Locals looking out for one another – you love to see it.
