The documentary charts how the ups and downs of the the multicultural national team has mirrored French society over the past two decades.
Aside from football, issues such as racism, terrorism and even sex tapes are dealt with in storylines that wouldn’t look out of place on Sky One’s Dream Team.
Whether you’re into sport, politics or both this gripping tale is a must-see while Irish fans will be able to recount painful memories of the 2009 Thierry Henry handball.Â

The tale of NBA icon Allen Iverson and his rise from childhood poverty to basketball superstardom.Â
4. Man Vs Snake
Okay, technically it’s not about sport but we’ve no problem with throwing a gaming doc in this list, especially one as good as this.Â
If you were hooked on playing Snake on the old Nokia phones you’ll relate to this one and if you’re a fan of the 2007 flick King of Kong, expect to see some familiar faces.Â

The 1977 docudrama which shot Arnold Schwarzenegger to fame.Â

A look into the murky and often corrupt world of football’s governing body.Â
7. The Battered Bastards Of Baseball
The true story of the Portland Mavericks, an underdog baseball team from the 1970s who were owned by actor Bing Russell, father of Kurt.Â
