First off, let us just warn you that genuinely, this movie is fucked up. Right? Okay.
The Poughkeepsie Tapes is a 2007 documentary-style movie shot in the same way as The Blair Witch Project (basically, it looks almost too real.)
It was originally due for release in 2008 in cinemas and DVDs, but was pulled last minute – apparently because it was thought too gruesome to be shown to the public.
Now though, it has been re-released on DVD, and is available online…
Don’t believe us just how freaky this flick is? Here’s what it’s about:
When hundreds of videotapes showing torture, murder and dismemberment are found in an abandoned house, they reveal a serial killer’s decade-long reign of terror and become the most disturbing collection of evidence homicide detectives have ever seen.
Watch the trailer if you dare…
I watched this movie online a couple years ago, and I swear it was so disturbing I couldn’t stop thinking about it for weeks.
Don’t see this one alone.
