Last night, Saoirse Ronan hosted Saturday Night Live over in the States. The role is sure to give her profile a boost ahead of the release of her critically-acclaimed new movie Lady Bird and by all accounts she did quite well.
One skit left Irish people baffled though as she took part in a parody of an Aer Lingus flight that was simply crawling with Irish stereotypes.

Aer Lingus has now responded the the sketch by taking to Twitter to say:
“Just tried watching Saturday Night Live – unwatchable! Totally biased, not funny and the Ronan impersonation just can’t get any worse. Sad”
