She’s been linked to many people over the years whether it be musically or relationship-wise but we never thought she’d be linked with an Irish TD.
But, Ariana Grande could very well feature in the Dáil this week if Stephen Donnelly has his way.
The Fianna Fáil TD who represents Wicklow & East Carlow has said that it’s time to say “thank you, next” to ticket touts.

(His press release helpfully points out, to the uncool among us, how many Ariana song titles have been squeezed in there. A missed opportunity to say that ticket touts could afford ‘7 rings’ with how much they’re making, but a laudable effort) pic.twitter.com/O1R8uvqgZD

As you can imagine, his press release was full of Grande puns but there was a good reason behind all the fun and games.
It was to point out the ridiculous “online reselling” of tickets for concerts which are bought at face value and then put up for almost five times the price.
The Bill being put forward – by Dublin TD Noel Rock – will see anyone found guilty of ticket touting being faced with a fine of €5,000.
