Two of Ireland’s brightest young acting talents have been recognised with nominations at the prestigious Film Independent Spirit Awards which were announced yesterday.
Barry Keoghan has received a Best Supporting Male Nomination for his role in psychological thriller The Killing Of A Sacred Deer while Ronan has got the nod for best female lead for her role in the upcoming Oscar hopeful Lady Bird.
The Spirit Awards aim to celebrate independent filmmakers and take place annually on the day before the Academy Awards.
Keoghan and Ronan will learn if they are successful at the ceremony in Los Angeles on March 3 2018.
