We’re used to calling Barry Keoghan a rising star but it’s about time that description was put to bed.
The Irish actor has stolen the show in a number of movies including Dunkirk and The Killing Of The Sacred Deer. He’s come a long way from shooting the cat in Love/Hate, that’s for sure.
If you needed more proof that Barry has well and truly arrived in Hollywood, then the fact that he will now be joining the Marvel Universe should convince you.
At yesterday’s announcement for The Eternals, Keoghan was confirmed in the role of Druig, a former KGB agent in Russia who enjoys torturing people. That cat-killing experience should come in handy, then.

The 26-year-old might be a big deal these days but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t still get starstruck. After the announcement, Keoghan shared a picture of himself with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, who he described as his hero.

Johnson responded by saying ‘Great meeting you BK. Congrats, kick ass and have fun on The Eternals.’ If the actor’s star continues to rise at the same trajectory, won’t be long before people are pinching themselves while meeting Barry Keoghan.
