The end of an era…

Mrs Brown’s Boys creator, Brendan O’Carroll, has revealed that the iconic show could come to an end the Christmas after next.

He told the Daily Star that the show was becoming too much of a sitcom. “It’s becoming more of a sitcom and more of our characters are creeping into the show.”

If the show does come to an end, Brendan said he’ll focus on his spin-off All Round To Mrs Brown’s.

The show, which has been running since 2011, has only three full seasons and is most known for its Christmas specials.

Mrs. Brown’s Boys D’Movie was released in 2014 and Mrs. Brown’s Boys D’Musical will go on tour in 2019.

The show won Best Situation Comedy at the 2012 BAFTA Television Awards and Best Comedy at the NTAs for three years running in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
