There’s no denying that Meryl Steep is one of Hollywood’s greatest ever talents but how does she get on when faced with the task of putting on a Donegal accent?
The answer is not too bad at all. If you don’t believe us, be on the sofa for 9.30pm tonight as RTÉ One is airing Dancing At Lughnasa which stars Streep as devout Catholic schoolteacher Kate Mundy.
The movie is based on Brian Friel’s 1990 play of the same name and if you haven’t seen it it’s well worth giving it a bash.
