They say that you should put a star at the top of your Christmas tree, others opt for an angel.
But RTÉ has definitely gone with the star option this year, that’s for sure.
RTE Sports Broadcaster, Damien O’Meara tweeted out this photo of the RTÉ Christmas tree which has a picture of Michael Lyster on the top of it.
The broadcaster said:
“With the year that’s in it there’s one man who could adorn the top of the RTE sport Christmas Tree in 2018.
“A brilliant broadcaster but a far far better colleague. #MichaelLyster”

After 35 seasons at the helm of The Sunday Game, Lyster retired from the hot seat this summer.
