Controversial Figure Has Potential To Produce Late Late ‘Moment Of Madness’ Tonight

If you’re staying in on Friday, it’s definitely worth checking out who’s on both The Late Late Show and The Graham Norton Show.

But, after reading that this controversial figure will be on the Irish chat show, we already know that we’ll be tuning into RTÉ One at 9:35pm.

Web Summit founder Paddy Cosgrave is one of the guests that has been announced for The Late Late on Friday and if his name sounds familiar, here’s why.

The invitation comes a whole two years after Cosgrave pulled out of the RTÉ show at the last minute. 

He was due to appear in studio with Ryan Tubridy but pulled out of the appearance so that he could attend a Web Summit dinner instead.

As well as this, he pulled out of an interview with Sharon Ni Bheolain last minute at the Web Summit that year too.

His unusual cancellations, however, did come after comments he made about the Irish Government whom Cosgrave said were telling “lies” about its Web Summit involvements.

Then, the Web Summit was pulled from Ireland entirely which subsequently came after those comments had been made. 

Two years on, Ryan Tubridy will finally get the chance to sit down with Cosgrave and discuss the controversial decision to pull the Web Summit from Ireland and will hopefully mention the cancellation from a couple of years ago also. 

It’s going to be tense, it’s going to be awkward, it’s going to be live and just out of curiosity to see what will happen, we’re going to be watching.
